Before we get to the next Gratitude Series post: I hope you all made it through Snowmaggedon 2016. We probably got around 38-40 inches of snow at our house. Its a little hard to tell because Saturday the wind blew so hardand the drifts were crazy. Here’s a few pictures:
Week 11: Someone Who Inspires You
This week – I didn’t want to do the typical answer of “My Mom or Dad or Boyfriend, etc”. They all do inspire me, but that’s probably very evident when you read my blog posts and I mention them. I wanted to talk to you guys about someone you DIDN’T know inspired me.
I figured I would give you insight as to why I have this little space here on the internet. Why I take the time to blog and why I hope you enjoy what I do. Do to that – I had to narrow down a large list of bloggers to get to one. And it actually ended up being two. One of the blogs that most inspires me, that I am most grateful to have found, is A Beautiful Mess.
When I first started reading A Beautiful Mess, it was just two sisters writing. Emma and Elsie have come a long way and have turned their blog into a booming business. While I have no desire to turn this blog into the same, their passion and ambition is something that cannot be overlooked. They have a 7 person staff now (themselves not included), have two published books, two best-selling photo apps (with more on the way), and have developed their own online store (where you can buy craft supplies, monthly subscription boxes, actions for photo shop, blogging and crafting classes, craft & planning supplies and soooo much more!).
Seriously!? These two girls are amazing. I remember reading this post and just – being in awe of everything that they have done. But how it all revolved around being creative. I’m an accountant by day, but thrive off of being creative. I love making things, decorating, baking, and just generally being crafty. So, reading A Beautiful Mess Blog (and many others), I was inspired to put my journey into words, as well. Thank you, Emma and Elsie, for inspiring me!!
