Has it really been two weeks?!?! These two weeks have FLOWN by. So. Here’s a little catch up on where I’ve been. Little bit picture heavy, so be prepared, but enjoy!
Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of watching my nephew Cash while his mom was at a wedding out of town. We had some friends over to barbecue. It was a wonderfully fun evening. Here’s a few pictures of Cash, Steel, and Laney (my best guy friend’s daughter) enjoying their weekend. Cash and Steel are best buds and its the most adorable thing ever.
AND! Mr. Coffee’s friend called about a bee swarm at their house, so he went and collected it and now we have our very own beehive! How awesome! I’m a littleeee frightened of bees, so, while it totally intrigues me, I keep my distance. But I really want to be able to help more! And, darn it, I will. Eventually. 🙂
Then THIS past Memorial Day weekend we had a LOT going on….
Saturday: The wedding of my good friend, at The Links in Gettysburg. It was gorgeous, she was gorgeous, and I’m pretty sure every single person had a blast!
Sunday: Ran a few errands (including getting seafood), and then picnic at my Mom’s house.
Memorial Day: First off, let me say, that I know a ton of veterans and completely and utterly respect every single person who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. All gave some, some gave all. Thank you to those who lost their lives fighting for this country and for the brothers beside them.
Mr. Coffee and I FINALLY had a WHOLE day off TOGETHER! It was amazing. We spent the day riding through PA & WV & VA with a bunch of the ‘car buddies’. Had a complete blast and cannot wait to do it again!
First we rode up to Penn Alps Village in Grantsville, MD. There’s a restaurant, craft shop, and artisan village. It is really adorable and fun to walk through. Mightttt have picked up a little something for my Color Swap partner over at A Day In the Life of the Farm Blog. Hope you’re excited Wendy!
After we left there, we decided to go visit the Paw Paw Tunnel. My mom’s family is originally from Paw Paw, so we went there a few times when I was really little, but I cant really remember. The tunnel is the largest structure on the C&O Canal and has been opened since 1850. It is .6 miles long, and walking end to end is QUITE a bit creepy, but our cellphone flashlights lit the way. Ha! Also, turns out you’re NOT supposed to climb the steps at either end of the tunnel. There were no signs telling us not to, so we did. Oops. Not advised, those steps were crazy uneven and steep!
So, I’ve been quiet on the blog, but it hasn’t been quiet around here either. During the week just trying to stay on top of chores and long days at work. I plan to get some more scrapbooking done this Saturday (did some last Saturday before the wedding), so I can post it all in one post.
Love and Coffee Beans,
