Thought I’d do a currently post – I love them and it’s a nice way to ease into things on here!
Reading: JUST started reading “The Ocean at the End of the Lane” by Neil Gaiman. Before that I was trying really hard to finish Shopaholic & Baby. I used to love that series and got off track (oh about five years off track) and now… Maybe I’ve just outgrown it? Or, maybe the movie ruined it for me. Who knows… I’m bad at leaving books unfinished though, so perhaps I’ll actually finish it one day… I’ll let you know. But for now, Mr. Gaiman shall entertain me.
Thinking About: My mom. It was her birthday yesterday, so we went out and had a nice dinner… Her, Me, Dad, and Mr. Coffee. I love (LOVE!) that they all get along so well. My parents and I don’t always see eye to eye, but they are near and dear to my heart, so the fact that all four of us can laugh and joke and talk means so much to me. Sometimes I cant believe my mom is over 50… (I mean..35! hahaha jk)… she’s always full of life and laughter. After dinner, we met a bunch of family friends at a local bar and listened to my ‘aunt’ (but not really)’s boyfriend’s band play. Anddd the best part is we already took her out for a REALLY nice dinner (Check out Boyd’s Steakhouse if you are from the area!) and then to see Ron White! It was a total surprise and her and Dad (and Mr. Coffee) absolutely loved it!!! (Sidenote: I saw him last year with K, so knew they’d love it ;))
Listening: I’ve been in a ‘singing’ streak lately, so when I’m in the car its been a lot of Miranda, Heart, and even a little Celine Dion 😉 I do need to download some new things for the ROAD TRIP this weekend (see below….)!
Watching: Mr. Coffee FINALLYYYY (hehe) caught up on Game of Thrones and so I’m RIGHT NOW half-watching Episode 3. This season’s been a little boring so far. Interested to see how Sansa’s journey unfolds… I wish she could just end up with someone who’s not insane, but I guess that’s why this show is good.
Also – Doctor Who. I’m at the very beginning of Season 7…. I think this Doctor, the one who forgets, is finally remembering the lessons that he learned in his past regenerations.
As for movies – we watched The Babadook today (daylight = good for scary movies). It was pretty creepy. Not sure how much I liked the ending, but rest assured, I’ll not be reading books like that to my future children. EVER.
Planning: For Carolina Rebellion!!!! Two full days of rock! I cannot wait. Last year I was on crutches from a broken leg and had to use a scooter to get from the camping area to the stages. Which was humorous, but a little embarrassing. This year, TWO LEGS! And Mr. Coffee’s FIRST ROCK CONCERT. Starting him off right:
Loving: My man, my dog, and snuggles on the couch – so signing off!
Love and Coffee Beans,
